	The Animal Welfare Coalition (AWC) is an alliance of animal welfare advocates and non-government organizations (NGO) founded June 15, 2006 in Manila, Philippines, in response to the overwhelming need to share resources, establish common goals, minimize expenditure and represent a dominant voice in animal welfare. The coalition recognizes the importance and benefits of collaboration to address animal welfare issues and has committed itself to ensure maximum welfare to all animals through initiatives in programs, advocacies and campaigns created for the entire Philippines. AWC's Mission & Vision Filipino Veterinary Training Program and the Anti-Dog Meat Trade Campaign made possible through grants from the Humane Society of the United States and the Humane Society International.
